I am a fourth Ph.D. candidate in the School of Information Science at the University of South Carolina. My research interest is health information practices of marginalized groups, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ communities during my doctoral study. I also work on other research projects in Library and Information Science (LIS) related to critical librarianship, misinformation, and public libraries in China.

I started services as the Communications Officer at SIG-HLTH at ASIS&T from November 2024.
Award
I recieved the Diversity Travel Award to the ALISE Annual Conference. This award is a conference travel grant which aims to increase diversity in LIS education/research. It provides the opportunity to an individual who wishes to address issues of diversity through doctoral study or teaching to gain exposure to and network with LIS educators, scholars and doctoral students.

I presented my poster at ALISE 2024. The poster discussed how job advertisements of library positions in the US manifest the core value of librarianship defined by ALA.
Guest Lecture
I did a guest lecture for ISCI 415 on the topic of intersectionality and access to technology. Using traditional game controllers as example, I explained to the students why we need to incorporate an intersectional perspective into design justice.
